November Student of the Month: Meghan Schuster

The Rotary Club of Rosemount is pleased to announce that Rosemount High School senior Meghan Shuster was its November 2012 Student of the Month.

Meghan is the daughter of Steven and Susanne Schuster of Rosemount. She is an “A” Honor Roll student who is also a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Group of Active Teens. She is also a letter winner and team captain in volleyball, basketball and softball, as well as a vocalist in a number of different choral groups at Rosemount High School.

When Meghan is not in school, she helps run youth sports clinics, attends Shepard of the Valley and volunteers at various activities including Feed My Starving Children, blood drives, Special Olympics, Race for the Cure and more. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, reading and getting outdoors.

Due to her outstanding academic and personal reputation, Meghan was the recipient of the Minnesota State High School League’s ExCEL (Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership) Award last year. The award is given to high school juniors who are active in fine arts and/or athletic activities, show leadership qualities and are model citizens in their community.

After graduation, Meghan intends to pursue a college education at the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse, University of Wisconsin Madison, University of Iowa or the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

Congratulations to Meghan on her outstanding achievements!
